Ultra-Accurate... By Design

DT8824

The DT8824 Ethernet data acquisition (DAQ) module offers the highest stability and accuracy for measuring analog signals. Every signal input, both analog and digital , is fully isolated from each other. This technology, ISO-Channel™, guarantees that all signals are protected from any environmental or system noise.

The high stability design of these modules offer three distinct advantages:

  1. 10ppm accuracy
  2. a temperature coefficient of ±0.05µV/° C
  3. a CMRR of greater than 150dB
  4. 1.5 ppm maximum noise

These features deliver data acquisition results that are twenty times better than the normal solution from another system.

These modules are ideally suited for chromatography, seismic, weigh scale, and medical applications where accuracy and stability are imperative.

Key Features:

  • Ethernet (LXI compliant) instrument module
  • ISO-Channel™ protection eliminates noise and ground loops; ±500V galvanic isolation channel-to-channel on all analog input signals and to the host computer protects signal integrity
  • Four simultaneous, 24-bit analog input channels
  • Sampling frequency of up to 4800Hz per channel
  • Input gains of 1, 8, 16, and 32 with input ranges of ±10V to support the following effective ranges: ±10V, ±1.25V, ±0.625V, or ±0.3125V
  • Continuously paced analog input operations
  • Software-programmable trigger type (software, external digital trigger, Trigger Bus, or LAN trigger) to start analog input operations
  • Software calibration of the analog input subsystem
  • 4 opto-isolated digital output lines; the outputs are solid-state relays that operate from ±30V at currents up to 400mA (peak) AC or DC
  • Digital outputs are galvanically isolated to ±250V when using all digital output lines
DT8824

The DT8824 provides ultra-high accuracy and stability while also providing ISO-Channel protection from any noise conditions. Each analog input is galvanically isolated from any other input and has its own return path. This means that other “grounds” or return paths from other signals or from the computer have no possibility to interfere with an ISO-Channel input or return. The shielded steel enclosure, 1U by ½ rack, further enhances noise immunity.

- Benefits of Simultaneous Data Acquisition
When choosing a data acquisition board, many different selection criteria are used. Speed, resolution, accuracy, and number of channels are all important considerations. For many applications, a simultaneous acquisition device is certainly the architecture of choice due to its inherent speed and accuracy.
- Isolated Inputs Offer New Application Advantages
Protection from noise and ground loops with new ISO-Channel architecture that provides channel-to-channel isolation using an A/D per channel with a DC-DC converter for each A/D.
- LXI system setup is quick and easy: a complete example
LXI-compliant instruments demonstrate predictable operation and behavior that make them easy to set up, configure, and debug. Find out just how easy it is.
- Why ISO-Channel Technology is Your Best Return on Investment
When connecting signal sources it is important to eliminate the sources of error that can contribute to inaccuracies in your measurements. In most measurement instruments, this burden is on the customer. Instruments that use ISO-Channel technology solve this problem for you – saving you tremendous setup and debug time and reducing costly grounding problems when connecting signals.
