Saving multiple configurations in quickDAQ

Question:  How do I create/save multiple configurations in quickDAQ?

Answer:  Normally the quickDAQ program will only save the last configuration that was used before you close the program. However, there is a way to get around this. Note that these instructions are for an XP system. Some parts such as the directory information may be slightly different on other OS's such as Vista and Windows 7.

Step 1:   quickDAQ saves configuration information in a file called user.config. You should be able to find this file in your current user directory in a location similar to the following: C:\Documents and Settings\CurrentUser\Local Settings\Application Data\Data_Translation,_Inc\quickDAQ.exe_Url_m3b0ktmoq1bljv1sxibdrs5zhx4javfd\1.6.0.3

Step 2:   After you create a configuration in quickDAQ and close the program, go to the previously mentioned directory and rename user.config to something like user.config.setup1.

Step 3:   The next time you want to reuse that setup, rename user.config.setup1 to user.config before you start quickDAQ.
