Answer: Once you connect an active video source to the board, there is data "knocking on the board's front door". The board checks to see what its parameters settings are (i.e.
pixel clock), then it opens the door and waits for the very beginning of a video signal (
Horizontal Sync). The user will experience at least 1
frame time delay, before viewing the complete image. The board needs to wait for the start of the image and then it needs time to acquire an image before it is displayed. *Dated 08/14/02.
