Question:  I am using GLI/2 ver. 3.0 and a DT3120 to capture images. The images go into the DT3120 via the S-video connector. Everything works fine under DT-Acquire ver 3.3.0, but not in GLI/2 ver 3.0. There is no option in GLI/2 to select S-video as the video type, only Composite. How can I capture a color image, via the S-video connector, in GLI/2?

 

Answer:  In order to use the S-video connector on the DT3120, in GLI/2, please follow these steps. Download this camera file from our ftp site: ftp://ftp.datx.com/public/camfiles/Camera Files for DTVF & GLI2/DT3120_s_video.O20 . Then, from within GLI/2, open the Picture Tool and your DT3120 device. Under File - Load Settings, select the configuration file and click Open. Back in the Picture Tool, click on Acquire and you should see a color image, if the s-video cable is connected.  Updated: 09/13/02.
