The images captured with the DT3162 frame grabber and monochrome camera have vertical lines ghosted on the image

Additionally, when the video output from the monochrome camera is connected to a scope, the signal appears to have some noise on it. The video images, however, appear normal on a video display monitor connected directly to the camera's output. Also, connecting the color camera to the DT3162 results in unacceptable images. Any suggestions?" "The DT3162 does not have a filter on the analog front-end and digitizes everything from the camera's analog video output, even noise. This is the reason for those vertical lines. The DT3152 on the other hand has a filter to remove the noise and vertical lines. The DT3152 will also digitize color images to 8-bit monochrome, where as the DT3162 does not prefer color signals, only monochrome video signals. If the camera output is RS-170, then capturing images with the DT3152 will be easy since RS-170 is the default format of the DT3152. Other formats and settings can be configured as well. * Dated: 12/06/04"
