| Binary Coded Decimal A code for representing decimal digits in a binary format. Binary Counter Group of flip-flops connected in a special arrangement in which the states of the flip-flops represent the binary number equivalent to the number of pulses that have occurred. Binary Image A black and white image represented as a single bit containing zeros and ones, in which objects appear as silhouettes. It is the result of thresholding. Binary System (base 2) Number system in which there are only two possible digit values, 0 and 1. Bipolar A signal range that includes both positive and negative values. Bipolar DAC Digital-to-analog converter that accepts signed binary numbers as input and produces the corresponding positive or negative analog output value. Bit One binary digit, either 0 or 1 Blackman Harris Window Similar to Hanning window, this window has a slightly wider main lobe but much better dynamic range. It is optimized to provide the minimum side lobe level. Blackman Window Similar to the Hanning and Hamming windows, this window has slightly wider central lobes and less sideband leakage. Blanking Related to composite sync, this signal has both horizontal and vertical components and is at is negative level whenever video is to be blanked or turned off. |
